We all had such a super evening. Our special thanks go to Sebastien, representing Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard, who talked us through the three great wines from Chablis that we drank, including the fabulous Grand Cru Bougros 2006 (as a special surprise). A special thanks also go to Laron, the Chef and his team for putting on a superb meal. The Sussex lamb was cooked to perfection.
The Ayala kicked off the evening beautifully with it's subtle brioche and toasted aromas and wonderful creamy elegance. Perfect on a summers' evening. All wrapped up with some rather decent Bordeaux.
The mystery wine at the end was Marlbrook 2004, a Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend from Klein Constantia, South Africa.
If you are interested in joining us on our next Fine Wine Dinner towards the end of this year, then let us know.
