Summer Tasting 2012
21 June 2012
What a great launch we had for our Summer Wine List and our biggest tasting yet. There were over 60 people in attendance to taste the wines, plus loveley Sussex cheeses and delicious hand-made organic chocolates and the added ambience of prints from Anita Klein. It was also good to see that so many of you took part in the Vinolympics and congratulations to Victoria Mason for being the winning entrant who identified the most popular wine that evening. Gold medal went to Stopham Estate Pinot Blanc 2010 (Wine Number 14). This exciting new discovery in Sussex is quickly gaining great acclaim in the UK and admirably demonstrates that the best of Sussex is no just about sparkling wine now.
So thank you to all our producers who came along to talk about their wines, to Chocoholly, La Cave a Fromage and also to Anita Klein for her stunning artwork. A special thanks too to all our customers for their tremendous support and we were delighted with the feedback.
The Lighthouse Arts provided us with a fabulous venue in the perfect location to enjoy all the food, the wines artwork and the convival company.
For those of you who couldn't make it, please download a copy of our Summer Wines for 2012 to view the list of wines that we showed.
