Chateau Lacombe Noaillac 2010, Medoc
2010 was a hugely successful vintage throughout Bordeaux and the greatest value can be found with these lesser known châteaux who have produced their finest wines in this vintage. This broad shouldered claret is a joy to drink now, but will continue to evolve for another 5 or 6 years.
A blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. A traditional, savoury and plump claret that is exceptional value for money and comes highly recommended.
This fine old property in the northern Médoc was completely restored in the early eighties and is the residence of Jean-Michel Lapalu who has been responsible for running the fabulous Château Liversan since the 1996 vintage.
