Here are three of the finest English Sparkling wines along the southern coast, each with their own distinctive personalities. Together, they will provide the ideal way to bid farewell to 2021 and to welcome in 2022 in style!
Breaky Bottom Cuvée Jack Pike 2015, Sussex Varietal : 100% Seyval Blanc. Note : Pale lemon colour with a lovely mousse of fine bubbles. Biscuity on the nose with a hint of lemongrass. On the palate it opens with a ripe, creamy start and evolves into a tantalising, lemon sherbet and mouthwatering, long finish.
Hambledon Vineyard Classic Cuvée NV, Hampshire Varietals : Chardonay / Pinot Noir / Pinot Meunier Note: “Hampshire’s Hambledon is one of the stars, it’s Classic Cuvée is a tingling, Cox’s apple-tangy, subtly toasty delight” David Williams, The Observer, July 2021
Ridgeview Cavendish NV, Sussex Varietals : Pinot Noir / Pinot Meunier Note : The richest style of the three thanks to the two red varietals being dominant in the blend, whilst the Chardonnay adds freshness and elegance.
