This is a world-class white wine with great finesse. A bone dry wine, with an explosive mineral core surrounded by delicate notes of fresh lemon zest and floral hints. Refreshing with a crisp, mineral finish.
Sherwood Estate, Stony Range Pinot Gris 2022, Waipara, New Zealand
Careful fruit selection, cool fermentation and extended lees contact has produced a Pinot Gris with intense pear and peach aromas with hints of elegant florals. The wine has a smooth mouth-feel with refreshing length and finish.
Wiston Estate NV, Sussex
An award winning English-sparkler that ays homage to Champagne’s Blanc de Blancs. Aromas of green apples, freshly cut lemons and sourdough, alongside grilled walnuts and apricots. Great with fish and chips!
Terre Fidèles Organic Côtes du Rousillon Villages 2021, Languedoc-Roussillon
A blend of Grenache and Carignan, this is a wine with power, but not without elegance. Grenache brings it a huge dollop of ripe berry fruits whereas the Carignan adds freshness that really marks out this wines joyous personality.
Bodegas Manzanos Rioja Gran Reserva 2013
This Rioja from Manzanos comes for prime sites in Oriental, with the combination of American and French oak, providing the perfect balance of refined knot tannins and supple vanilla notes. An elegant wine with dried fruit notes, bramble, spice, mocha and complex layers of interest.
Perelada, 5 Finques Reserva 2019, DO Empordà, Cataluyna
The lesser-known region of Empordà on the French border, is producing some exciting wines in Spain today. The 5 vineyards that this wine comes from are planted with a multitude of grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Merlot and Syrah. Its aroma is reminiscent of red fruits and spices, with some balsamic notes and a toasted background. This is a wine with a great personality and a long finish.
