This is a blend of two parcels of vines, both to the north of Viré. Situated at the top of the slope, the stony soil gives bite and intensity to the wine. This has the hallmarks of a fine white burgundy – freshness, harmony and minerality. Perfect drinking now. Thoroughly enjoyed recently with these two fine cheeses from The Golden Cross Cheese Company based in Sussex – an ash rolled goats cheese and a soft ewes milk cheese (Flower Marie).
