This is fantastic value from the northern Medoc. Home to Jean-Michel Lapalu, owner and wine-maker at Châteaux Patache d’Aux and Liversan and replanted in the 1980s, it is now producing glorious wine.
A blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is delicious and open. A vividly fruity wine vinified to be drunk relatively young. Plenty of soft, plummy fruit balanced by ripe tannins and just the right amount of oak.
